As experience in Worcester has demonstrated, the Asian longhorned beetle is a significant threat to many deciduous trees in our area. In order to prevent such devastation occurring in Arlington, it is critical that trained eyes monitor our local trees. Join us for a workshop on the Asian longhorned beetle on Saturday, May 19, in the main room of the Senior Center. A one-hour presentation is scheduled for 2 pm, to be followed by a walk around the Town Hall gardens to learn how to look for and identify ALB activity. The presenter will be Stacy Kilb, the Asian longhorned beetle outreach coordinator from the Mass. Dept. of Agricultural Resources.
